| This is a original Corvette LT1. Original paint, interior and intake, Smog. This has been in my collection for about ten years I drive it every summer. It is a unrestored LT1 it drives nice does not smoke or make strange noises. I put new calipers and flex lines up front. The car was bought in Wadsworth Ohio when it was new and traded in in 73 when the gentleman I bought it from bought it. He moved to California were in spent it life from early 70's -mid 2000's when I bought it. He was unclear about the original block not being in car so that part is a mystery. I just thought the block was ruined in the first year. This car has a factory 411 rear end and I was told rock crusher trans it is the original trans the vin is cast in it and it does have the close ratio wine to it so the car was probably bought new to race. The only thing the car needs is front carpet the back is original and nice and the original wind shield has a little crack it the right corner you can not notice it with out looking but it is there. The power steering has the typical leak when parked. The Bird cage is great I took the molding around windshield inside off to look at it and it is clean. The frame is nice but does have the end cap rust issue common on this cars. The seats are very nice with no tears and door panels are nice for being original. The car needs a speedo cables so miles are not correct it shows less than 40 thousand. But do not know the true mileage. April 17, 2015. |
